Cathedral Chiropractic is proud to have 3 chiropractors working throughout the week. Each professional is registered with the General Chiropractic Council. All are members of either the British Chiropractic Association and are fully insured.

Our aim is to reduce the likelihood of recurrence by strengthening and re-educating muscles, improving the way joints are used and thereby minimising stresses through the muscular skeletal system.

MORE ABOUT CHIROPRACTIC

What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a form of health care, which is concerned with the joints, bones and muscles of the body and their effect on the nervous system. It is primarily focused on the spine, but at Cathedral Chiropractic, we look at the whole body and may just as well focus on the feet or the neck – this is because we aim to diagnose and treat the cause of the problem not just the symptoms. We use gentle and specific techniques to alleviate the patient’s symptoms, restoring normal function when possible, to improve life-style and health.

How does it work?

Chiropractic care aims to improve and restore joint mobility and function of the spine, pelvis and extremity joints i.e. feet, knees, wrists and hands. By restoring this function, we help the nervous return to normal control of both the postural and functional muscles enabling them to work at their optimum potential.

Sometimes it may take some time for this to occur, as it depends on the injury type, how long you have had the symptoms and the type of work and lifestyle you lead. Occasionally a return to full function may not be possible, but our chiropractors will then be honest and open with you, helping to set realistic, achievable goals that, once reached, you should be able to maintain. This may be with or without our further help, but you will always have the right to make your own choices in your chiropractic care.

How chiropractic treatment can help you

If you are suffering from pain that arises from your joints, muscles, ligaments or tendons then chiropractic treatment will most likely benefit you.

Postural problems, pregnancy related discomfort, sports injuries and age related aches and pains also respond well to chiropractic care.
